Just finished listening to a recent episode of the atheist experience. Towards the end of the show a caller asked about free will and Matt Dillahunty gave a position on free will that I think it may be worth refuting in detail during one of the podcast shows. I've edited the episode down to the 7 minutes of talking on the subject of free will which, if I've done it correctly you should be able to download here : www.dropbox.com/s/hfnn20cs8ojvnj3/AtheistExp-2015-11-01%20Free%20Will%20Matt%20Dillahunty.mp3?dl=0

I just listened to this. I knew Matt sort of sided with compatibilism / Dennett over Harris (even if he doesn't disagree entirely with Harris).

I'm still lost on why so many people recommend Daniel Dennett and agree with compatibilism.

The other problem is that people fail to appreciate how much overcoming free will belief DOES change how we think and act about everything. First when I quit believing in god, I had a massive life change in thinking about morality. However, everything was still based on free will and so overcoming that was an even more major change.
